Local Roots

  • a full-time resident of Whistler since 1997
  • began working as a Crown Prosecutor in 1997, primarily serving the Sea-to-Sky Corridor
  • left the Crown in 2003 to start Double Diamond Law Corporation and serve the Corridor residents

Local Practice of Law

  • representing a wide variety of individuals and companies in the Sea-to-Sky corridor since 2004
  • practicing in the areas of Personal Injury, Employment, and Criminal Law
  • conducting trials, appeals, tribunal hearings and negotiations
  • drafting employment contracts and other employment related agreements;

Seven Years Experience as Crown Prosecutor

  • responsible for the conduct of prosecutions on all matters, ranging from provincial ticket offenses, to alcohol-related driving offences, to murder
  • dealt with all facets of criminal files, including bail hearings, charge approval, trials, negotiations and sentencing
  • conducted hundreds of trials, including lengthy trials in the Provincial Court and the Supreme Court of British Columbia

Diverse Legal Experience

  • articled and practiced in downtown Vancouver law firms for three years before becoming a prosecutor
  • practiced in the areas of commercial, personal injury and other civil litigation, as well as employment law, advising both individuals and companies

Many Interests and Wide-Ranging Background

  • travel, telemark skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, golf, and wine
  • qualified for the national university championships in gymnastics
  • former tree planter; top company planter in 1988
